Ayia Napa Harbour is also known as Limanaki of Agia Napa and is one of the focal points in Agia Napa city itself. Over the years there have been many changes to this area so make it even more attractive and offer more facilities to all.
This charming harbour started off being a beautiful little cove which has now turned into a destination spot. There are more renovations and upgrades to come but this place is a must see on your list of places to visit when in Cyprus. Agia Napa harbour has turquoise waters, all sorts of boats to see. Here you will find fishing boats, known as Kaikia, to yachts, sail boats and speed boats. Visitors can even board small cruise boats that take you around the area of Agia Napa and Protara or even further away for a day trip.
There are pathways for walking along the harbour and also 2 pedestrian lanes that take you to the two lighthouses. All along the pathways you will find cafes, taverns and restaurants where you can relax, eat or drink. So, take a seat at the café or tavern and take in the salty sea air and gorgeous views. This place is magical during the day and night, but especial during sunrise and sunset.
The harbour comes alive during different times of the day, early morning with fishermen coming back with their catch. Moring hours those taking a stroll around the harbour and grabbing breakfast. Lunch time at the fish taverns which have delicious fresh fish on the menu all the time. Afternoon and night time, with the hustle and bustle of people shopping and mingling at the cafes and taverns.
Shopping is another attraction here as many visitors can shop souvenirs but also clothes, shoes, bags, basically anything you can imagine.Events are taking place all the time here, for instance Cataclysms. This is ceremony of throwing the cross in the sea and people dive in to retrieve it. There are fireworks at night and people stay during the day to feast on the delicious food at the restaurants and taverns.
Saint George is the small church found at the harbour. Many weddings take place here as it is so serene and picturesque that couples fall in love with it the minute, they see it. The church is actually found in the heart of the harbour right where the harbour square is.
