When visiting you will see many vineyards, apple tree orchards, pear tree orchards and other types of trees too. Since Pera Pedi was one of the first villages to have produced apples, it’s now well-known for its apples. The Krios River goes through the village and there is around 800mm of annual rainfall. The population is currently 66. Nature around the village is amazing, you can find the Pera Pedi Dam, the Pera Pedi Park for kids and also a nature trails for hikes.
Pera Pedi Dam is found just 2km north of the village and is actually built over the Krios River. It was built in 1954-1955 and was built to help irrigate 14.7 hectares of land. The Dam also has attracted many aquatic bird species and fish. A cycle trail also passes by the Dam and many bird watches visit to see and photograph the birds.
